[OSENWORLD] Singer BoA, celebrating her 25th anniversary since debut, has once again been spotlighted—this time by the U.S. music authority GRAMMY.com, which highlighted both her artistry and enduring influence.
In a recent feature titled “Exploring the Queen of K-Pop BoA Through Five Songs: From ‘No. 1’ to ‘Better.’”, the publication reflected on her two-and-a-half decades in music and reaffirmed her lasting presence in the industry.
The article described BoA as an artist who has consistently embraced reinvention and evolution. Widely recognized as the “Queen of K-Pop,” she was credited with breaking cultural and generational boundaries through her music and reshaping the trajectory of the K-Pop industry.
It also noted that BoA captivated Japanese audiences with her charisma, genre-spanning versatility, and powerful blend of vocals and dance. She ultimately became the first Korean artist to top major Japanese charts, selling millions of albums—a milestone that cemented her as a trailblazer in the Asian music scene.
GRAMMY.com further highlighted BoA’s ability to embody diverse musical personas: from the beloved Japanese holiday classic “Meri Chri,” to the high-energy dance-pop “Double,” and the empowering anthem “Woman.” Each track reflected her evolving artistry while building a repertoire that reads like a journey in itself.

As her career matured, BoA increasingly took the reins of her own creative process, translating her artistic vision into her projects. Today, she is celebrated not only as a legendary figure across both male and female idols but also as a pioneering mentor. In addition to her solo career, she is actively shaping the future of K-Pop as a producer, most recently leading the boy group NCT WISH.
The feature concluded by selecting five songs as representative of her career—“No. 1,” “Valenti,” “Only One,” “Better,” and “What She Wants.” It added that BoA’s 11th studio album, Crazier, released on August 4 to mark her 25th anniversary, offers a renewed glimpse into her artistry and evolving musical world.
