[OSENWORLD] K-pop sensation IVE (members: An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) has once again proven their global appeal, earning a spot on Billboard’s “The 25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2025 (So Far): Critic’s Picks.”
Billboard recognized IVE’s pre-release track “REBEL HEART” on July 21 (local time) for its compelling production and global resonance. Released in February as part of their third mini album IVE EMPATHY, the track tells the story of defiant youth joining forces in solidarity, featuring rich vocal harmonies, anthemic choruses, lush string arrangements, and uptempo drums.
Billboard praised the track for its “striking English-language chorus and rebellious flair,” adding that it showcases IVE’s evolving global sound and rising influence in the international K-pop scene.
Upon its release, “REBEL HEART” received an enthusiastic response from fans both in Korea and abroad, spending 10 consecutive weeks on Billboard’s Global (Excl. U.S.) chart.
The group’s global momentum continued at Lollapalooza Berlin and Lollapalooza Paris, where local crowds sang along to “REBEL HEART” in Korean. To date, the track has garnered over 57 million streams on Spotify.
Looking ahead, IVE is set to appear at the 2025 Coupang Play Series match between Team K League and Newcastle United on July 30, where they are set to deliver a special halftime performance and participate in the ceremonial kickoff.
